Holmarudden is situated in Näset, Ånge municipal.
The municipal of Ånge is, as everyone knows, situated in the middle of Sweden.
The name "Holmarudden" (approximately Peninsula in English) suggests that it is situated near water.
In this case it is a peninsula where the lake Borgsjön and the river Ljungan merges.
Borgsjön has -at least earlier- been considered to be one of the lakes in Sweden containing the largest amount of fish.
There is whitefish, grayling, trout as well as pike, bass and other types of fish.
In the winter you can go to the nearby ski slope Getberget (Goat Mountain). Or you can travel to Vemdalen which is situated approximately one hours drive away from Holmarudden. Vemdalen is a large skiing area with dozens of lifts and slopes, ranging from beginner to expert levels.
Now you have the opportunity to rent a room or a house in lovely Holmarudden.
You have the following options:
One room: SEK 300 per night or SEK 1500 per week
A four bedroom house: SEK 1000 per night or SEK 4000 per week
The prices includes cleaning and linen.
Free access to a ”grill house” that can hold approximately 10 persons.
There is also free access to a fishing cabin and a three person boat at lake Borgsjön.
